  My first foray into Bourbon Street Grill was their Coquitlam Centre location ages ago. I remember being so impressed with the quality of their chicken, that when I saw they had opened up a location at Metrotown, I just about lost it.
  
  I decided to get the 2 vegetables (mashed potato and carrots) and 1 meat (blackened chicken) with rice (9.85) combo. The mashed was silky smooth and creamy and the carrots were gigantically cut for some reason. The chicken was surprisingly decent, although not looking like it from how they just plopped it onto the plate. It was juicy, had some nice crispy bits, and had a slight kick to it. I'm not sure why they've expanded their offerings to include so many Asian sides (which didn't look all too appealing), so I stuck to what I call "Roasty Jack" style Thanksgiving sides. Closest you'll get to that kind of meal unless you're wanting to venture out to Brentwood!

  usually one of my favourite places to eat at metro but they done fucked up today smh my whole meal tasted a day old chicken was mushy and soft (usually crunchy on the outside soft on the inside) fried rice was NO WHERE near fried felt like I was eating damn oatmeal  didn't eat the chow mein cuz it was my mom's but it probably tasted like booty too. y'all disappointed me today.

  Back in September, Bourbon St. Grill opened up in the Metrotown food court in the former Arby's location. Now, given their name, you couldn't be blamed for thinking that they serve up creole/cajun food originating from Louisiana.
  
  I tried one of their combos where you pick one meat and one vegetable and add a starch item... in this case, it was the Bourbon Chicken, Corn, and Jambalaya Rice. While the names of the dishes sounded very authentic, the food here tastes very similar to Asian food. I also found that most of the meat dishes here are on the sweet side due to the sauces.
  
  I swear, if you just looked at the food in their heating trays, you'd probably think that this was a Chinese food stall. Not saying that the food here is necessarily bad... just wish they served actual southern food.

  Staff wanted to charge me more. Horrible service.
  There is such a lack of choice that it feels drier than KFC.
  They do have a huge portion of food if that's what you're looking for.
  Zero stars if I can rate em that.

  Figured that since I was really hungry I'd feel the tank with anything, So I walked towards the pretty signage hoping it would be good. Wow, Was I ever disappointed! the Broccoli was half cooked and their mango chicken had so much corn starch that I needed something to wash it down, There's nothing Bourbon street about this place except a poor attempt at fusion.
  
  In addition to review: Don't try their Bourbon chicken, You'd find more moist in sandpaper.
